The kids are 5 weeks into their 9th grade year. They are enjoying their Romanian language class. They are also enjoying their time on Friday’s at the Romanian school in Oradea.
Bryan has resumed college. This semester his class is Christian doctrine. It is not easy, but he is learning so much.
We are both taking a second year of Romanian language. This year we are reviewing grammar, practicing comprehension skills, and practicing lots lots of speaking.
We have our new team member (we consider her a family member) all settled in. We are very blessed to have Candra Barnett here with us.

Glancing Back &
In August we had a prayer retreat for our family & Candra. We focused on our spiritual gifts, love languages and different personalities. We also led a church leaders / volunteer conference in August. During this time we were able to encourage each other and Bryan spoke about the importance of a strong and solid team.
On September 4th we had our first bible study in our church plant location. We had almost 20 people to attend. Since then we have grown to an average of 40+.
We are hoping to meet this week in our little building. Currently we are meeting outside and it’s getting dark on us. A couple of the meetings we had church in the rain. It’s a blessing to see the ones who are committed to learn even on the chilly, rainy evenings.
As soon as the building is completed we will meet for bible study in it and be able to begin a new believer’s class.
Also, we are praying about a second church plant and are expecting to start meeting for bible study there very soon.
Above: This is our multi purpose shed. We are averaging 30-45 people. This is too many people to fit here in a home. This little shed will give us a warm and dry place to meet during the cold and wet winter.
Above: At the moment we are literally a church without walls. We meet outside each Thursday at 6:30.
